About

Berit Bernelycke is a contemporary artist and a woman of her time. She has several university degrees. She is a professional teacher, photographer, journalist and Swedish entrepreneur.  She was born in 1964 and she has been working in various localities such as Kalmar, Luleå, Uppsala, and Stockholm, to mention a few. In the 80´s she lived and worked in southern Spain which became like a second home to her.

Her philosophy about life is characterized by humanistic, secular, sense-based and democratic values concerning both human beings and animals. Becoming a teacher and later on, a journalist, was part of her sincere quest for sharing and spreading those values.
Passionate creative professions and hobbies have always been a major driving force.
In a turning and delicate point of her working life, 1999-2000, – leaving her profession as a school teacher to expand a company of candle making to become her main occupation, she had within nine months two serious accidents, each very close to end her life. Those experiences have affected her approach to life in many ways. Her passion and gratitude towards life shows through a new expression - Fine Art Photography.

Bernelycke resides in a small village on the southeast coast of Sweden. She is currently running a company based on her achieved skills and experiences and she is available for photography assignments and journalistic writing. She is also designing cover sleeves for books.
